The Y is a charity, dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. YMCA Annual Campaign funds are utilized to meet the greatest needs of our community and our YMCA.

We have two exciting fundraisers coming up this month. We are counting on your support by participating, sponsoring, and/or donating to these events.

Let's BEAT Cancer

Livestrong Fundraiser


Our 2nd annual Let's BEAT Cancer, 80s themed Livestrong fundraiser is coming up on Wednesday, October 5.


Dress in your favorite 80s attire, attend group exercise classes, come by the fitness center for fitness challenges, support our walk of life celebration starting at 3:45pm, and join in the 80s party. 


Every donation counts for our goal of raising $12,000!

2ND ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21 @ 10 am at Cross Creek


When you participate in this event as a player and/or a sponsor, you join in the Foothills Area YMCA’s commitment to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Your support goes to our Annual Campaign so that all in need of YMCA memberships, programs, and day camp opportunities are able to participate! At the Y, no one is turned away for financial reasons.


The Foothills Area YMCA Golf Tournament will follow a Captain’s Tournament format including longest drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, putting contest, raffle items, and more. Mulligans and Red Tees will be sold at the event.

P3 Soccer Skill Building Lab at the Y for ages 5-14


This 10-week program is designed to help players of all levels master the most important skills of soccer. P3 coaches will teach basic technical skills through a combination of visual demonstrations and simple technical tips applied as part of exciting exercises.

Parents' Night Out

Another PNO is coming up on Friday, October 14 where the kids will enjoy Pumpkin Painting. PNO takes place 2nd Friday of each month and it's open to members and non-members.

Hiking with the Y

This month's Hiking with the Y is coming up on October 12 when we visit Chau Ram (1.7 miles, moderate). Hiking with the Y takes place 2nd Wednesday of each month and it's open to members only.

SDOC Safety & Survival Swimming Program


The 2nd year of SDOC Safety & Survival Swimming program kicked off on September 12. The goal of this program is to teach students self-rescue skills and basic water safety to help in preventing the risk of drowning.


Please check signs posted at the Y for adjusted pool and locker room schedules.
