Relief in sight: New law giving 7th Judicial District another judge expected to ease workload and improve access to justice

Double-set trials, crowded calendars and other logjams in local courts could see some relief, thanks to a new law that went into effect July 1.

2025 Downtown Business Alley Activation Grant

The City of Delta has committed to revitalizing Main Street to help support local businesses, provide greater access to downtown, and promote a safe, friendly atmosphere. Through the RAISE Grant, the City will be receiving $13.1M to support Main Street reconfiguration, increase pedestrian accessibility, and support the revitalization of our downtown. The City will accept applications from downtown businesses and property owners for grants of up to $5,000 to support business activation along Main Street. The funding will be available summer of 2025, and all projects must be completed by December 31, 2025. The Alley Activation Guidelines are below.
