Gifts of the Craftsmen

The Ohio Craft Museum is the perfect place to shop this holiday season—the entire gallery space is filled with unique gifts created by nearly 200 artists. The 25th annual “Gifts of the Craftsmen” holiday exhibition and sale features beautiful jewelry, functional pottery, wood utensils and cutting boards, purses, hundreds of ornaments, cards and much more, by several new artists as well as returning favorites.

Quick Grants for Artists Winter Cycle opens January 1, 2025

Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s rich legacy of supporting and promoting artists continues with our latest initiative, Quick Grants for Artists. We want to see every one of our members thriving and creating. We understand that steps like taking a class, updating equipment or having access to materials can make a huge difference in an artist’s professional development. That’s why we are offering grants (up to $500) with an easy application process and a quick turnaround.

We want to hear from you! When your work is in an exhibition or featured in a publication, or you receive a commission or other professional honor, drop us a note. We will include it in the “News on Members” section of an upcoming newsletter. E-mail news: nredinger@ohiocraft.org

A digital image of yourself or your work to accompany your news item is also welcome. Information may be published as received, so please be accurate! Deadline for the winter issue: January 1.

Columbus Winterfair

December 6–8, 2024

This year’s Winterfair features fantastic work by 375 artists from across the country! And with so many unique items to choose from—ceramics, glass, jewelry, wearable art, photography, painting and more—we dare you to leave without at least one shopping bag! Don’t forget to swing by the Gourmet Marketplace for chocolates, salsa, soaps and more.

Art Studio Clearance Sale

Sell your seconds and older work or test out new work at this fun, easy event: easy load-in and out and no tents required! Held at the Lausche Building at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, this sale draws a loyal and excited audience! Shoppers come ready to buy!

Functional Ceramics Workshop

April 11–12, 2025

We are so excited for next year’s workshop with presenters Catie Miller, Fargo, Nebraska, and Cary & Stephanie Hulin, Holmes County, Ohio! Held at the Wayne Center for the Arts in Wooster, the workshop will feature demonstrations and visual presentations by all three artists. The $175 registration fee ($75 for students) includes 2 box lunches. A free reception will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025.
