Dear Office of Developmental Programs Stakeholder:
The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is pleased to announce the publication of bulletin 00-26-05 “Expectations for Coordination of OVR and ODP Employment-Related Services,” with an effective date beginning on January 1, 2027.
The purpose of this joint bulletin is to provide guidance on expectations to coordinate employment related services between ODP and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), including when an individual must be referred to OVR prior to the authorization of ODP funded employment services.
Updates to the requirements in this bulletin include:
- A new requirement that any individual who was determined ineligible for OVR services, or had their OVR case closed prior to January 1, 2017, must be re-referred to OVR prior to authorizing any new ODP funded Supported Employment or Advanced Supported Employment services.
- Information regarding the OVR referral process when OVR has a waiting list for services.
- The process for authorizing ODP services when OVR’s employment services have ended, but the individual’s case with OVR remains open.
- Removal of the Small Group Employment section as OVR does not provide a comparable service.
This bulletin includes ten (10) attachments to assist with the OVR referral process.
