Dear ODS Dental Medicaid Provider,

Greetings from ODS Community Dental! We are kicking off the New Year with planning sessions for the 2019 OHA incentive measures. As we have reported on many occasions, we cannot meet these measures without you, our OHP provider partners. As a first step, we would like to share 2019 measures with you-

  1. Sealants placed on the unrestored occlusal surface of permanent molars for children between the ages of six and 14 as defined by CDT code D1351.
  2. Dental assessments for children in foster care. ODS receives the list from their CCO partners and coordinates appointments with the child's dentist.
  3. Oral evaluation for adults with diabetes. This measure is new for 2019. Oral evaluation codes include D0150, D0120, and D0180.

We look forward to working with you to achieve these measures. Contact our dental case management team at 844-274-9124 or [email protected] to request sealant gap and diabetic member reports or to schedule an onsite visit to learn more about the 2019 measures. And watch for updates in future issues of Smiles Matter!

Thank you for a great year!
We are finalizing our data for the 2018 metric year but want to give you a preliminary report and a genuine thank you for serving our dental Medicaid members. Here is the good news for 2018-

We are grateful for our partnership with you, our ODS OHP providers. Watch for the final 2018 report due in June, 2019.
We recommend checking eligibility for ODS members on the date of service. Our Benefit Tracker portal is a great online resource for daily eligibility verification. Navigate to Group Limitations for additional information such at capitation assignment and Health through Oral Wellness benefits.

Help patients achieve optimal oral health
When it comes to oral health, we know that some people need more care than others. That's why ODS Community Dental offers Health through Oral Wellness, a program that provides extra benefits and related care to patients who are at greater risk for oral diseases. ODS offers this program at no cost to our providers.

Determined by a clinical oral health risk assessment, your patients may be eligible for enhanced benefits that include extra cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants and periodontal maintenance each year.

The program also gives you access to Dentalytics™, an online data analytics tool that allows you to see claims data to track patients with a history of periodontal disease and who are due for their treatment. This information can help you provide evidence-based care to improve your patients' oral health and your bottom line.

To learn more about the program, visit deltadentalor.com/oralwellness/providers/.
If you have additional questions or would like to schedule an onsite demonstration or courtesy training call dental provider services toll-free at 844-663-4433.

The enhanced benefit feature of Health through Oral Wellness is available to ODS Community Dental patients with qualifying risk assessment scores.
