A Word from the OES Special Education Committee…

The OES Special Education Committee was formed in 2012 in an effort to promote awareness of and address matters relevant to this important part of our school’s population. Our committee is your direct link between our school's Special Education/IEP community, PTA, students and families; and the diverse special education offerings of our local area.

Each month, we post information regarding Special Education opportunities and resources on the OES Special Education website page. There, you will find newly offered virtual workshops and webinars providing useful tips and suggestions for parents navigating a variety of issues. CLICK HERE to access our most current update of important information, (beneficial to ALL families!); and be sure to visit our PTA website for new and ongoing information regarding Special Education issues.
 
If you are new to OES, seek additional information about Special Education and wish to establish connections with others at our school; or if you are interested in joining our committee, (all are welcome!), we encourage you to contact our Special Education Liaisons, Andrea Zuppas and Maren Wood at special.education@oaktonpta.net.

National PTA Reflections Program
The National PTA Reflections Art Program is officially open for submissions!
This year's theme is "I Will Change the World By..."
Deadline to enter is Friday, October 15, 2021.
Students from all grade levels are welcome to enter.
