OESP Board Hosts Annual Spring Meeting
There was plenty of excitement about the upcoming Eastern Energy Expo, as more than 55 members of the OESP Board of Directors met in Atlantic City for the annual spring Board of Directors meeting.

“Things at the EEE are really shaping up,” OESP National President Scott Vadino said. “The booths sold out once, and then sold out again, and our block of hotel rooms at Harrah’s is nearing capacity, which is very exciting and shows the enormous interest in the conference.”

As always, there was plenty of camaraderie in the hospitality room. “It was great to see friends that haven’t been together in six months, since the Fall Oilheat Retreat,” Vadino said. “It is always a good time when OESP comes together. Thank you to Rick Glownia and George Perrelli for coordinating the food and spirits.”

There was also plenty of business, with reviews of all facets of the organization, as well as a focus on membership growth. Committee chairs gave optimistic reports about their areas and all agreed that things are looking great for OESP.  “The restart of the Central Mass Chapter is particularly exciting for us,” membership chair George Fantacone said. “Thanks to Angel Gonzalez and Alan Wornham for all their work in helping to get things going.”

Finance Chair Charley Holmes was pleased to report that OESP finished with a profit for 2022. “Once again, for another fiscal year, we are ending in the black,” Holmes said. “We continue to do well largely due to the success of the Eastern Energy Expo and our careful stewardship of funds.”

The education team met after lunch to review the outstanding lineup of EEE courses that we have scheduled for you.  You definitely won’t want to miss this opportunity at the Atlantic City Convention Center!

While the focus is EEE, we are already planning for next year. Are you interested in a leadership position with OESP on a national level? If so, please talk with your chapter president.  The more hands, the better, as OESP focuses on more events, more members and more professional growth.

See you at EEE!
Thanks to a bet aimed at Scott Vadino and Justin Romano to wear slippers for the day, members of OESP raised $4,000 for Oil Heat Cares at this weekend's Board of Director's meeting in Atlantic City, NJ
Chapter News
Westchester Chapter
The Westchester Chapter had an excellent meeting this month. ECR Utica presented its electric boiler, of great interest in New York and Connecticut where there is a move to electrify devices. There is more interest than ever. The correct sizing of the boiler was covered, as well as the importance of appropriate electric service related to proper installations. ECR also offered to help train our local Saunders High School students. Because instructor Chris Montalvo was there with a half dozen students, this offer was gratefully accepted.
