Welcome to fall!
It was great to see so many of you at the Oilheat Retreat in Peabody, MA last month. It was a weekend of work and play as nearly 50 OESP members and guests gathered to kick off the fall heating season. I hope that you were able to get into the Halloween spirit while visiting the historic and ghostly town of Salem.
Details on the Spring BOD meeting will be coming soon. It will be held March 30 – April 2, 2023 at a new venue, Caesars Atlantic City. We will be scheduling tours of the EEE venues for those who are interested. Look for sign-ups after the first of the year.
Planning is also underway for the Eastern Energy Expo, scheduled for May 21-24, 2023 at Atlantic City Convention center, and hosted by Harrah’s Resort. The amazing venue will hold all the exhibitors under one roof and will give attendees a great venue to network and socialize with industry executives.
We are in the midst of planning a very dynamic schedule for you, including technical education classes and training. You also won’t want to miss the OESP Opening Reception and Awards Banquet, promising to be better than ever.
We will once again host the Care to Ride on Monday, May 22. We look forward to riding through the roads of South Jersey – it is sure to be a not-to-miss event. Bikers, walkers and runners are also welcome! Routes will be provided for all!
The Dave Nelsen Scholarship golf outing will also take place on Monday, May 22. We will be playing at the Blue Heron Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor, NJ. We are depending on all of you to help keep the scholarship fund growing to continue our mission of education. And of course, we’ll have a great time doing it. So, join us!
We are always looking for new service managers and technicians to join the Association. Do you have friends or colleagues who would benefit from membership in OESP? Bring them along to a fall meeting. It is more important than ever to continue to grow our great Association and educate the next generation of industry professionals.
New members can join now and get a “nearly 2 for 1” on the upcoming heating seasons. They will get the remainder of 2022 and all of 2023 included in one price!
On the business side: your membership dues invoices for 2023 will be going out shortly.
If you pay your dues electronically, you will receive an email with instructions to pay your bill online. Your invoice will be delivered to your email. Simply click the link – your link is unique to you, so no login will be required. If you receive your invoice by mail, please send us your email address so that we can save a few trees and email you your invoice.
OESP is always looking for people who are interested in making a difference in their career and this great Association. One of the ways is by providing networking opportunities to help grow your business.
Everyone wants to work with people who they know and trust, so get involved in your local chapter and experience the difference it will make for you. Please contact OESP HQ or your chapter president to learn how you can make a bigger difference.
We would like to thank our loyal and generous advertisers for their support this year. Thank you, once again, to Taco, R.W. Beckett, Suntec Industries, Carlin/Hyrdolevel, General Filters, Wohler, Sid Harvey, Roth, Weil-McLain Energy Kinetics and F.W. Webb. We are now open for 2023 advertisers - your company could be in the next issue of the always-popular OESP News. Contact us to find out how.
On behalf of Jonathan Jaffe, Meredith Levy, Andrea Klimkowsi and the rest of the OESP management team, it continues to be a pleasure to serve the association. We wish you the very best for a terrific fall season. See you soon.
