Dear Taxpayer:
On November 1 of this year, the City of Philadelphia will launch its new tax filing and payment website. The site will change the way you file and pay Wage Tax.
Previously, you filed an annual Wage Tax reconciliation return, and could do so on a paper form. As of November 1, you must:
- File and pay Wage Tax ONLY electronically on the Philadelphia Tax Center. You can no longer pay on our old eFile/ePay site, or through ACH Debit over the phone.
- File returns quarterly starting in 2022, providing a weekly schedule.
You should continue to make Wage Tax payments with the same frequency as before.
The first filing date in the new schedule is May 2, 2022. However, we recommend you take three actions next week:

Visit the Philadelphia Tax Center and bookmark its web address: https://tax-services.phila.gov.

Ensure your mailing address with the Department of Revenue is up to date. To switch over to the new site, we mail you a physical letter with a verification code. Need to update your address? Use this form: www.phila.gov/tax-change. Unsure what we have on file? Call (215) 686-6600.
- Create a username and password, and request your verification letter. It may take 5-10 business days to receive the letter, but this one-time process helps us keep your personal and tax information safe.
We know change is hard sometimes, but we are confident that managing your Wage Tax account will be better with the Philadelphia Tax Center. Should you run into any difficulties, we will work with you to resolve them.
