Fulbright Information Session

Date: July 24, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Brief Description: The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. International Coffee Hour

Date: July 28, 3:30 - 4:30 PM

Brief Description: International Coffee Hour is a great opportunity to meet new people from around the world! The event is open to all members of the U-M community, including international and U.S. students, scholars, faculty, staff, and their partners. Fulbright Application Deadline: August 27

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. This competition is administered on campus by the International Institute. Enrolled students must apply through U-M and provide proof of a campus interview and endorsement as part of their application. Recent alumni (within the past 3 years) may also apply through U-M. Peace Corps Prep Graduate Student Peer Advisor

Brief Description: The International Center will be hiring a graduate student to fill the position of Student Services Assistant II (Peace Corps Prep Certificate Program Graduate Student Advisor, Job Reference #7979), which will start at the beginning of the Fall 2023 term. The person who assumes this position will work together with the GEEA Assistant Director to carry out the Peace Corps Prep certificate program at U-M. Peace Corps Prep is a preparatory certificate program for undergraduates who are interested in applying for the Peace Corps in the future. The position involves advising undergraduate students, program management, and event planning! Preference will be given to applicants graduating no earlier than May 2024. Refugee Employment Case Manager, Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County

Brief Description: Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County is hiring a Refugee Employment Case Manager. The successful candidate will provide case management services inclusding assessment, testing, counseling, and follow up with clients. This role involves networking with employers and other community agencies, facilitating group instruction and workshops, and working to remove barriers to clients obtaining and retaining employment.
