Ambassador's Forum: Opportunities and Challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean

Brief Description: The Weiser Diplomacy Center at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the American Academy of Diplomacy will co-host a discussion with four former senior diplomats with deep experience in Latin America to explore opportunities and challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean. SSW International Coffee Hour

Brief Description: The Office of Global Activities hosts a bi-weekly coffee hour for all international students and visitors in the School of Social Work. It is a time to relax and meet new people. In this coffee hour, we will be providing Michigan-style cider and donuts, a classic autumn treat. We will also have time to get to know each other, talk about ideas for future international coffee hour meetings, and check in about how the semester is going. How to Find & Fund a Non-UM Study Abroad Program

International Center International Coffee Hour

Symposium: Global Advocacy, Local Impact
Date: October 4, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Brief Description: This year’s symposium brings together local and global advocates whose work inspires change. We invite you to become part of the conversation around ending violence toward women and girls, the power of lived experience to promote systems change, and the impact of intergenerational feminist mentorship. Workshops will cover themes including Navigating Gender in AI, Supporting Non-traditional Students, Empowered Communication, and Mindful Self-Compassion and Self-Advocacy.
