Covid Resources:

COVID-19 Control Measures and Testing: Self-Testing | CDC
  • COVID-19 self-tests, or OTC tests, are one of many risk-reduction measures, along with vaccination, masking, and physical distancing, that protect our communities by reducing the chances of spreading COVID-19.
  • People can consider self-testing before indoor gatherings with others not from their households.
  • CDC’s Self-Testing page has tips on self-testing and general guidance for negative and positive results, including videos on How to Use a Self-Test and How to Interpret Self-Test Results
  • Patients who notify their Primary Care Provider of a positive self-test result should be advised to isolate for 10 days and wear a mask when in necessary close contact with others (household or otherwise).
  • Patients should be advised that a negative self-test result obtained while symptomatic does not rule out COVID-19 infection and follow-up may be necessary.
  • Self-test results do not need to be reported to public health, so individuals should inform close contacts of positive findings.
  • CDC published Holiday Tips to help us navigate holiday gatherings.

As the nation enters the holiday shopping season, employers must ensure that all workers are trained to recognize and prevent job hazards, and incorporate safe work practices to prevent coronavirus spread. OSHA has resources to help keep workers safe at every step along the way whether you’re shopping at retail stores or getting gifts delivered from the warehouse to your home.
