NEW BIM Models: Thermacore^®  Commercial Sectional

As previously announced, we have partnered with Bimobject to develop and publish a new optimized suite of BIM models for our complete collection of commercial products. This week we have launched our third batch of these new BIM models. This release features the Thermacore^® Insulated Commercial Sectional Models: 515, 525, 591, 592, 593, 594, 596, 598, 599 and 850.

Previous releases included edge of dock leveler, dock seals & shelters, high-performance fabric, rubber and metal door models as well as our suite of Aluminum Full View sectional doors. We will be continuing to release batches every few weeks through project completion.

To fully leverage the Distributor Locator, it is critical that our distributor information is accurate. Go to overheaddoor.com/distributor-locator to check your location by entering your zip code.

Co-op Reminder

In advance of the new year, we will be updating the co-op brochure with the latest information on the co-op program. Be on the lookout in January for what's in store!

As a reminder on the current program:

• Distributors must submit invoices within 90 days for them to be accepted.
• The final day to submit any eligible co-op claims from 2023 will be January 31, 2024.
• Beginning January 1st, 2024, Ribbons will need to select the 2023 year to submit those years' claims as it defaults to 2024 in the new year.

All plant and office locations will be closed on Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Normal activity will resume on Wednesday, December 27. Locations will also be closed on Monday, January 1 for New Years and normal activity will resume on Tuesday, January 2.

Freight charges will now appear as a line item on the product invoice for Grand Island, Williamsport, and Lewistown. The same change will be made in Pensacola by mid-December.

As part of this transition, we are also revising the FSC calculation method, shifting from a miles-based formula to a percentage of the List Price of the Product, determined by the distance from the plant. This careful adjustment is designed to ensure a fair and equitable solution for all our valued customers.

Key Program Enhancements:

• Eliminating the Drop-fee: Offering you more transparency and cost savings.
• Consolidated Invoicing: Product Charges and Freight Charges will now appear on the same invoice.
• Real-time Freight Charge Calculation: Ability to manually calculate freight charges at time of quote (OHDirect Plus enhancement coming in 2024 for systematic calculation).

These changes reflect our commitment to providing you with the best possible service. We appreciate your continued partnership, and we are confident that these updates will contribute to a more seamless and transparent experience. For any questions, please contact your District Sales Manager. 

We're currently upgrading our Thermacore^® panel line in Williamsport. We've successfully completed Phase 1 in early October without disruption, and want to keep you informed about the adjusted order schedule for Phases 2-4:

Phase 2:

• Orders needed: 1/8/24 - 2/2/24
• Williamsport: Order by 12/25/23
• Grand Island/Pensacola: Order by 12/18/23

Phase 3:

• Orders needed: 2/5/24 - 3/1/24
• Williamsport: Order by 1/22/24
• Grand Island/Pensacola: Order by 1/15/24

Phase 4:

• Orders needed: 2/26/24 - 3/29/24
• Williamsport: Order by 2/12/24
• Grand Island/Pensacola: Order by 2/5/24

We understand this may disrupt your usual ordering, but these upgrades will improve our efficiency and reliability. Regular updates will be sent throughout the project. For any questions, please contact your Customer Care representative.

You can now quote and order dock equipment on OHDirect Plus which includes Edge of Dock Levelers, Seals and Shelters, and Accessories.

For dock levelers and seals and shelter orders, we require submitting a Site Evaluation Form when placing an order. Our Technical Support team will review your order and Site Evaluation Form, serving as a second review and ensuring that you receive the correct product configuration for your customers’ needs.

Congratulations on 38 years of service!

We would like to congratulate Paul Many for his 38 years of dedicated service to Overhead Door Company of Rutland^TM. Paul started with the company on July 2nd, 1985 and spent every year installing and servicing OHD product. He will be missed for not only his professionalism but also his attitude, friendly disposition, and humor. Dave and Kim Ripley, along with the staff, wish him all the best in the future. Our doors will always be open for him, and we’ll keep the coffee hot.
