The Second Draft of the 2027 Design and Architectural Standards (DAS) Have Been Posted

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is seeking feedback on the second draft of the 2027 Design and Architectural Standards (DAS) and the Design and Architecture Process Manual until 5 p.m. on September 3, 2026. Comments may be submitted to DAS@ohiohome.org.

DAS Bulletin: Updates to the Current Design & Architectural Standards and Affordable Assisted Living Guidelines Have Been Posted

OHFA has issued DAS Bulletin 2026.1 with updates to the current DAS and Affordable Assisted Living Guidelines, effective July 1, 2026, for projects that are in all phases of development from application to submission of IRS Form 8609.

Construction Monitoring Consultants

OHFA has contracted with AKT Peerless, TC Architects, and QCI Group to assist with construction monitoring activities at OHFA-funded projects from July 1, 2027 to June 30, 2029. These consulting groups (and in some circumstances, subconsultant SAFEbuilt) will assist with site visits for key construction milestones around 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, as well as other site visits at OHFA’s discretion.

The consultants will initially reach out with OHFA staff copied, and will be requesting construction schedules to plan for when milestones will likely be reached.
