As always, you can enter one or both lotteries with one submission and have a chance to win the opportunity to purchase a product from each. After submission, you will receive a six-digit ticket number; keep that number handy to help verify if you are selected a winner. Winners will be notified in early June using the email address entered with their submission. A list of winners will also be posted on our website. Ohio Liquor is conducting an online lottery to give as many Ohioans as possible a chance to purchase a bottle from the OHLQ single barrel selection of Weller Full Proof and Blanton's Gold Edition.   The lottery begins at 12:01 a.m. on May 17. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on May 24. An entry may be submitted for one or both. Two separate submissions are not required to be considered for both lotteries. Additionally, if choosing both lotteries, entrants have a chance to win a product from both and will NOT be disqualified from one if chosen as a winner on another.   All entries must be submitted online here.   Be prepared to enter the following information: First Name Last Name Street Address Date of Birth Email Address Phone Number Ohio Driver’s License Number or Ohio Identification Card Number Active military members stationed in Ohio are also permitted to enter the lottery. Please contact the Liquor Enterprise Service Center at 877-812-0013 or OhioLiquorInfo@com.ohio.gov prior to entering. Consumers will also be asked to choose an OHLQ location to purchase their product, should they be chosen as a winner.

OHLQ Single Barrel Selections Weller Full Proof $49.99

Weller Full Proof Barrel #448: Fragrant scents of a caramel, apple, citrus oil, and some brown sugar, with the occasional note of mint and some new leather. The full, viscous palate shows off its full proof and brings more of that caramel-coated Granny Smith apple, rounded by notes of cinnamon and vanilla with some fleeting red raspberry lingering on the tongue. The whiskey finishes smooth and sweet with just enough hanging around to remind you of the experience.   Weller Full Proof Barrel #038: The nose reminds you of an ice cream sundae, with notes of vanilla ice cream, caramel, and hints of chocolate and cherry juice. The palate backs up that dessert-like sensory experience with some added notes of cherry cola and spice flavors of cinnamon and clove. The mouth-coating texture leads to a pleasant, medium oak-rounded finish that’s smooth and easy.   Weller Full Proof Barrel #070: The nose greets like a trip to the bakery, with fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and vanilla cream cheese icing backed by hints of maple and oak. The palate brings flavors of vanilla, caramel, baking spices and mild notes of maple French toast with bananas. The medium-long finish brings some added flavors of crème brûlée but manages to provide just enough oak and spice for balance.   Weller Full Proof Barrel #078: The nose is packed with sweet scents of vanilla, stone fruit, strawberry, oak, and some cinnamon undertones. The palate offers a sweet balance of caramel corn, toffee, some marshmallow, and Nilla wafers with undercurrents of cinnamon sugar and moderate oak. The whiskey closes out with a long, enjoyable finish that reminds you that it’s a step up from its Antique sibling.   Weller Full Proof Barrel #090: The nose offers a decadent confectionery experience of vanilla icing, caramel candy, molasses, and raspberry fruit. The mouth-coating palate keeps the sweet experience going, but the proof provides a nice, taming balance. This is classic Weller, with foundations of vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak with accents of cinnamon candy and even chocolate covered cherries. The finish hangs around for a while with just enough heat and tannic notes to balance out the sweetness.

Blanton's Gold Edition $120.00

The world’s first single barrel bourbon was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee. Named after former distillery president Colonel Albert B. Blanton. Elmer recalled how Colonel Blanton would sometimes handpick a ‘honey barrel’ from the center of Warehouse H to enjoy with others. Many years later, the Blanton’s brand was created. Today, Blanton’s Single Barrel has become one of the most revered and award-winning bourbons on the market. The Gold Edition was the second version created, after the Original 93 proof. This 103 proof Blanton’s Gold is very limited, but a favorite among discerning bourbon aficionados. Hints of spicy rye and tobacco on the nose, followed by caramel and honey, dark fruit and citrus notes. The palate emulates the same complex aroma with rye, tobacco, and honey. Oak and vanilla contribute to an extremely long and harmonious finish.

The Ohio Bottle Lottery is limited to one entry per person. There is no cost to enter. Winners have the right to purchase one bottle at retail. Bottles are for personal use, not for resale. Bottles available for purchase will be determined by Division of Liquor Control staff. Entrants must be at least 21 years old and an Ohio resident to enter and win. Entrants acknowledge that their information becomes a public record subject to possible public release under Ohio’s public records law. The lottery is not open to employees of the Ohio Division of Liquor Control, Republic National Distributing Company, JobsOhio Beverage System, companies in contract with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control's Agency Operations section and JobsOhio Beverage System, Agency store owners and their employees/immediate families. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. May 24, 2021. Winners will be notified in early June. Winners must purchase their bottle by June 28, 2021 or risk forfeiting the ability to purchase.
