Cheers to Maker's Mark!

We're back with the second Maker's Mark release this year, just in time for the holidays.

You can get your hands on our four selections, totaling eight barrels, beginning at 9 a.m. on Dec. 6. You'll find the OHLQ Holiday in Columbus selection, the OHLQ Holiday in Cincy selection, the OHLQ Holiday in the Land selection, and the OHLQ Holiday in Ohio selection at select OHLQ locations across the state.

Maker's Mark Master Distiller Denny Potter and Maker's Mark Private Select Founder Jane Bowie helped us choose these barrels specifically for Ohio. Each selection has its own unique taste profile, detailed below, which are sure not to leave you disappointed.

To add to the excitement, Denny and Jane will be at the Wine List in West Chester to meet Ohio's bourbon lovers and sign bottles!

The Maker's Mark team is also sending calligraphers to five stores (find those stores below) from 9-11 a.m. so you can add a custom gift tag to your bottle. Talk about getting all of your holiday shopping done!

Details on the OHLQ locations hosting the release and which selection they will have are below. Surprise cases will also show up the day of the release. You can find the locations on OHLQ.com that day.

Don't forget to grab the Fall issue of Forty-Two+ . The Golden Barrel Program will close soon, and I don't want you to miss your chance to join us on an upcoming barrel selection. And be sure to 'like' our Facebook page for these announcements and more.

Please enjoy this special release and all products responsibly.

Cheers!

About Maker's Mark

Bill Samuels Sr. had his own idea of how whiskey should taste. So he abandoned the family recipe that was passed down six generations and set out to create his own. If he was going to make bourbon and put his name on it, he wanted one he could be proud of. And that meant bourbon that was more pleasing to the palate. He developed a new recipe based on locally grown grains. The most unique thing he did, however, was replace the traditional bourbon flavoring grain of rye with red winter wheat, which produced a much gentler taste.

Distilled in Lorretto, Kentucky, the barrels are rotated during aging -- to ensure every barrel achieves the same flavor maturation. Every bottle of Maker’s Mark bourbon to taste – not by age – to ensure the same consistent taste and quality batch-to-batch, year-to-year. Currently, aging lasts approximately five and three quarters to seven years.
