OK2030 Plan Released, Provides 35 Key Policy Recommendations
In December 2016, the State Chamber of Oklahoma Research Foundation announced the beginning of a long-term strategic vision project called OK2030 to dramatically improve our state's rankings and prospects. On December 12th, the OK2030 Strategic Vision Plan was released to the public. This plan is the culmination of a year-long effort to gather input and ideas from thousands of Oklahomans and the business community.

The plan focuses on four foundations pivotal to our state's success: business climate and competitiveness, workforce and talent development, quality of life and fiscal stability and governance. Of the 450 ideas generated through OK2030, the Steering Committee selected 35 policy recommendations with the greatest potential to dramatically improve Oklahoma's future. The plan includes recommendations related to Oklahoma's tax code, budget, regulatory climate, health care, education systems, governance and more.

"Now that the plan is finalized, the State Chamber's advocacy efforts will begin," said CEO and President, Fred Morgan. "We plan on championing these efforts and working to ensure that our state becomes competitive in every facet. There is no space for complacency in this plan - we must work to move Oklahoma forward."

LGE Class XXVII Spotlight
Name: Hannah Hankey
Hometown: Amorita, OK
Family: Husband - Seth
Occupation/Profession : Senior Tax Associate/CPA at BKD CPAs & Advisors
Who is/was the most influential person in your life and why: My grandpa was one of the most influential people in my life. He was always willing to listen and give advice. He was able to retire early and was retired for the majority of my life so he was able to attend all of my extracurricular activities. My favorite was going to musicals/shows with him. He was busier during his retirement than he was when he was working. He spent most of his time helping others in need and I hope I can do the same when I retire.
What are three things on your bucket list: Visit all 50 states with my husband, travel around Europe again and go on an all-inclusive vacation to the beach
What was your all-time best Halloween costume : My family wasn't big on buying Halloween costumes, so my mom typically made ours. I think my favorite was a mummy. It was very last minute, we hadn't come up with any ideas so we took an old sheet, ripped it up and stapled it to the shirt I was wearing. It was awesome!
Favorite thing about Enid: The small town feel and the great people
Name : Jennifer Bauman
Hometown: Bentonville, AR
Family: Married with 2 daughters (18 and 6)
Occupation/Profession: Vice President/Treasurer for family business, Harmon’s Electric, Inc. My brother and I own the business with him managing the operations and I manage the business side of things.
Who is/was the most influential person in your life and why: I have had may influences in my life, both professional and personal. However, my VP at VF Corporation was my most influential. He taught me that even if you do not know the answer to a problem, you keep researching, trying, following up, and working hard and the answer will come.
What are three things on your bucket list: Run 520 miles per year, cut my golf handicap in half and get my two daughters through college debt free
What was your all-time best Halloween costume: Candy Corn
Favorite thing about Enid: Memories from my childhood. I moved away before starting kindergarten and returned every summer to spend time with my extended family.
