Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan Program - Exploring Mussar

Led by Rabbi Aderet Drucker at the home of Debby Rosenman Together we will explore Mussar, a Jewish spiritual practice that provides guidelines for living a meaningful and ethical life. In particular, we will examine Mussar's connections with mindfulness, and identify new approaches to listening to our inner voice and to applying Mussar and mindfulness to our everyday lives. A Holocaust Survivor's Story

Manny Mandel and Terry Fred Horowitz will discuss Terry Horowitz's book about Manny Mandel titled
Imi: A Lifetime in the Days of the Family Mandel. The discussion will be about the Jewish experience in Hungary during the last days of WWII. You do not have to read the book prior to attending. Joyce Dubin Hinkes, z'l, wife of Eric Hinkes, sister of Adina (Max) Barkinskiy, daughter-in-law of Eileen Hinkes, and devoted aunt of Miriam and Zev Barkinskiy, early this morning, October 11. There will be a graveside funeral and burial at Judean Memorial Gardens on Sunday, October 14, at 3:30 pm. Shivah information is pending.
May God comfort all who mourn for Sam Dratch and for Joyce Dubin Hinkes and may their memories always be for a blessing.
