Project Spotlight: Back to School
Sandy Hook Elementary School 
Students started school at the new Sandy Hook Elementary School on August 29, nearly four years after the tragic day. OLA collaborated with Svigals + Partners and the project team to provide LEED fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for the new school.
 


Saxe Middle School
On June 16th a ground breaking ceremony was held for the Saxe Middle School $18.6 million renovation and addition in New Canaan, CT that will add 24,000 square feet of classroom space. Scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2017, OLA is the MEP Engineer for this project working with JCJ Architecture.
 


Chappaqua Schools
A $42.5 million schools improvement bond was passed by Chappaqua residents to fund renovations to the districts six schools and the community's public library, which the district operates and maintains. OLA is the MEP Engineer for the district working with KG+D Architects.



White Plains Hospital: The Hospital of the Future
OLA Consulting Engineers is the Energy Engineer and Commissioning Agent for the 4-year, $100 million renovation and addition project at White Plains Hospital. Several developments have been completed in this major modernization project including the lobby, cancer center, six-story tower, cardiac catheterization lab, and Labor & Delivery suites.
The White Plains Hospital has been voted 8th in the Soliant Health's list of Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S.
U.S. News & World Report has once again recognized White Plains Hospital as a Best Regional Hospital for 2016/2017.The Hospital was ranked #15 in both the state and the metro area, and also received high performance rankings in several clinical areas.
2016 Giants 300 Report
Building Design + Construction ranks the nation's largest AEC firms as part of the Giants 300 Report. Data for the Giants 300 charts are based on information supplied by the respective firms. OLA was ranked 51st among the Top Engineering Firms.

OLA Cares

OLA gets ready for school! The goal of Operation Backpack has been to ensure that every child in the New York City shelter system has a new backpack filled with grade-specific supplies at the start of each school year. Working with Volunteers of America, the OLA team filled backpacks with school supplies for children in need. 2016 marked our 12th year participating in the fundraiser. #olacares
 

OLA employees wore pink for breast cancer awareness month. OLA is sponsoring a team of employees, families and friends at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, October 16. Participants in the event raise money to fund research as well as provide free information, support and services to anyone touched by breast cancer.
