VALENTINE VOICES
Musical friends and collaborators Sarah M. Greer (vocals) and Steven Hobert (piano, vocals) explore, play, ponder and expound on the power of improv and their love of music. The duo will present and lead songs, improvisations and conversation.

Sarah M. Greer (@sarahmgreermusic) is a Minneapolis-based jazz vocalist and composer known for her song inventions, scat singing and improvising. Praised by other musicians for her sense of time and ability to swing, audiences appreciate Greer’s amazing vocals, inventive scat singing and adventurous use of improvisation. Sarah released an album of original jazz compositions — “What the Music Says Do" — in 2018.

Steven Hobert describes himself as a soul who plays, sings and dances while exploring life’s mysteries. His genre-blending piano, accordion and vocal music has been described as “delightful, innovative and viscerally inspiring” that “dazzles audiences with sincerity and playfulness to open up hearts and fire imaginations.”

JON AND KIM HAMILTON

WHITE WINTER WINERY
J on and Kim Hamilton - beekeepers, mead-makers and proprietors of White Winter Winery in Iron River, WI, share their hand crafted meads with us. Jon and Kim started White Winter Winery, Inc. in 1996, producing international award winning meads, as well as cider, spirits and sparkling fruit drinks. These hand crafted beverages express the “terroir” of our region, with Lake Superior creating a unique climate for blueberries, cherries, strawberries, blackberries, pears and apples perfect for meads and spirits. Mead was produced in ancient history throughout Europe, Africa and Asia, and has played an important role in mythology. In  Norse mythology , for example, the  Mead of Poetry  was crafted from the blood of the wise Norse King  Kvasir  and turned the drinker into a poet or a scholar. Enjoy a taste of WWW mead and see how it spurs your creativity!
