Carlton Holiday Market Becomes an Annual Event!

Carlton Holiday Market

Twelve venues across downtown Carlton welcomed shoppers and revelers looking for locally grown or made gifts, great food and drink, and holiday music. Each venue stamped guests’ passports, and two lucky winners received Holiday Market gifts at the Carlton Lions and Chamber of Commerce Holiday Tree Lighting. Guests, vendors, and venues all see great potential to grow this event in the future.

Jenna Bettschen
Hello! I grew up in a small town in Long Prairie, Minnesota. My interest in the outdoors and saving the planet led me to major in Marketing with a minor in Sustainability and Business Organizations at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I signed up to be a member of the sustainability club at UMD to push our campus to be a more eco-friendly community. Within the last year, I rescued B, the pup in the picture. She has brought nothing but happiness and laughter into my world. I am currently working with Glenn and Emily as their marketing communication specialist and it has been a great experience so far! By being a part of the Carlton community, I get to document the wonderful events and people online to share everyone's stories with others around the country. I am excited to keep growing our networks with OACC!
Felicia Galvan
My name is Felicia Galvan, and I grew up in Mounds View, Minnesota. I am currently in my 3rd year at the University of Minnesota Morris (UMM). I became involved with the Center for Small Towns (CST) during my second semester at UMM, when I was a freshman wanting to branch out at my campus. Through CST, I've been able to explore small towns in Minnesota through survey work and interview work revolving food co-ops, farming, and now learning and celebrating our pollinators! I am very excited to not only work with a new group of passionate people, but see all the lines of work their projects do to care and foster education, knowledge, and excitement for pollinators and the like. I'm very much looking forward to becoming involved.
