Dear Families,
Happy October to all of you! This week has been full of changing seasons, the conclusion of MAP testing (tomorrow), opportunities to share input on Partners in the Gospel, continued Jog-a-Thon celebrations, and lots of energy throughout the building. It has been full of reminders of Christ in all things, especially in our children and one another. Today we were even joined by a surprise visit from the Fire Department, for a fire drill, and we passed with flying colors! The fire department was so impressed with our students, and it was a proud moment as a principal to see them do so well.
With the changing weather, this is a good reminder to begin bringing coats to school for outdoor recess. The heat is now on within the building, and kids are staying nice and warm inside, wearing their uniform blues.
This weekend, we hope that you will be able to join the parish for the Ministry Fair, happening after each Mass, in the gym. Learn about all the many ways you can become involved in the parish community, and in the many opportunities we have for service, outreach and unity. Thank you as well for the many who made it to Mass this past Sunday. It was great to be together, and show off our school to the parish and greater community. For community members and parishioners alike, you are strongly encouraged to share your voice in one of the Partners in the Gospel Input sessions. See the sign up in the dates section below. What you have to say about this family partnership with Holy Rosary, and the process in general, as a parish and school, matters greatly. Thank you for taking the time!
Looking further into the newsletter, please pay attention to PO News and CYO news, including information about Halloween Carnival, the CYO Golf Tournament and Italian Dinner. Much went home today in the FCE (check your child’s backpack) and a few more flyers will head home tomorrow.
Additionally, as you will read below, Jog-a-Thon celebrations are worth noting, raising over $33,000, the most ever raised from this event. I am so impressed with your efforts, and in the efforts of all of our runners and participants. Thank you again to Hilary and Victoria and the committee for such a great day. Curious if your child won any kind of recognition? Or perhaps--- did YOU win anything? See the PO News section for more!
Lastly, the Handbook is complete and being sent to families via SchoolAdmin. Keep a lookout for it in your emails, and in your accounts.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
