Dear OLG Families,
What an incredible Halloween Carnival this past weekend! Congratulations to our trunk and treat winner: "Candy Land" by Kindergarten and the Mercado's family! And all the incredible volunteers who put on this great community event. This is the number one event of the year new families mention when registering, followed closely by our January Open House! Thank you for building our community strong!
There are a few more large events happening this weekend and early next week:
And of course, much more coming up this month with Parent Org, Veterans Day, Parish Fair Trades, CYO basketball getting going, an so much more to read on about!

Class Notes -- Dia des Muertos
As a Mexican I can say that I love my traditions and to share them with my students. It is beautiful to see their interest and joy knowing our celebrations that characterize us as a country, especially the Day of the Dead. This celebration has a great meaning for us as Mexicans, because in this way we honor our departed loved ones and let them know that they have not been forgotten, they will always be remembered and there is not sadness, but joy, because we have the certainty that their presence is still with us and when we have to leave, they will be there to receive us. So let's celebrate and remember them for what they were in life... Feliz dia de Muertos!

Family Faith Sunday
More family centered activities are now ready for you and your next Mass attendance! See the church vestibule, plus families with children in K-6 are welcome to join us for Family Faith Sunday this Sunday, Nov 6, from 9:30-10:45 at the Walmesley Center. We will be considering “saints traits” as a way to look at the stories of saints and connect them with our life today. We start as a whole group, then work through activities as families, and finish at 11:00 Mass. New children and families are always welcome in our programs.
Shoeboxes of Joy
It is that time of year where we create “Shoeboxes of Joy” for the variety of people
served by CCS’ Volunteer Chore Services. Bring your donations in a shoebox that is wrapped with Christmas paper to mass or the parish office NO LATER THAN Sunday, Nov 28th. They will be blessed by Fr. Kevin at the 11:00 Mass.
