Thank you for a wonderful Catholic Schools Week!
Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

What an amazing Catholic Schools Week !!! As many of you have already read it, it still bear mentioning that earlier today I sent out a special letter to all school families. Please discuss as a family as I plan to say a few words to students tomorrow in our fun and relaxing Pajama Day to wrap up our week!

Families, for our school planning purposes I hope you can provide input to our school and parish life through our quick 4 minute school survey. There have been 55 families responding already out of close to 200, so I would love to hear your families' input too!

Enrollment and applications are moving along; we are contacting our many Preschool, PreK new applicants as both those classes are in waitlist status! Our Kindergarten class only has a spot or two remaining... so remind your friends to get those apps in quick! Other grades are also showing interest and we'll be finalizing acceptance in the next week or so leading up to our State of the School & registrations opening on Feb 15. Thank you families for all your amazing support of OLG teachers and staff and students this week! Our school is one where we welcome from all backgrounds, and learn, form, and grow in community together... so remmeber to cheer-on your Bulldog Friends as our 6th Grade Basketball team is in playoffs (Sat, 11:30am).
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

THIS SUNDAY! - Family Faith Sunday
9:00-10:45 in the Walmesley Center (gym)
Our theme this month is Standing Together to Protect the Earth
  • How do we show gratitude for the many blessings in God’s gift of our natural world?
  • How are these blessings of the earth a sign of our world community?
  • What can we do to stand together as a family and as a church community to protect the earth?
Activities are geared for families with children in K-6 but all are welcome. For more information, contact Molly Berger
Keeping OLG Strong Through Scripture, Prayer & Community
Lent begins on February 22nd. This holy season provides a wonderful opportunity to grow in our relationship with Jesus and with each other. You are invited to participate in a five-week, parish-wide series designed to build closer relationships in the parish and foster a deeper appreciation for Scripture. Small groups will gather in parishioners’ homes, at the parish, or by Zoom to pray and reflect on the Gospel for the upcoming Sunday’s Mass. Information and Registration
Partners in the Gospel
Local and national media wrote stories about the launch of PARTNERS IN THE GOSPEL across the Archdiocese of Seattle. While most of this coverage was accurate, a few reporters were creative in how they positioned this renewal effort. Here are KEY MESSAGES from the Archdiocese to help clarify any misinformation or confusion. In addition, there are two more Information Meetings (by Zoom):

Financial Incentives to Help Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Legislation passed by Congress last year made thousands of dollars available to middle-income households, to transition to more eco-friendly heating systems, vehicles and even power for the entire home.

  • Heat pumps: As of Jan. 1, a tax credit is available to cover 30 percent of the cost, up to $2,000, and there is no income limit for the credit.
  • Electric vehicles: A tax credit of as much as $7,500 is available, depending on the make and model of the car. Vehicles must be assembled in North America, and cars costing more than $55,000 and vans or trucks costing more than $80,000 are not eligible. The income limit is $150,000 for single tax filers and $300,000 for joint filers.
  • Rooftop solar: The tax credit now available is for 30 percent of the cost of installation, with no cap on the total and no limit on household income.
  • There are a variety of other credits also coming out this year, including for electric vehicle chargers (up to $1,000), heat pump water heaters (up to $2,000), and even for sealing the doors and windows of your home (up to $1,200).
  • Up-front discounts for low- to moderate-income households will be available later this year. Use this tool -- https://www.rewiringamerica.org/app/ira-calculator -- to see what you might qualify for.
