Principal's Letter

Big Happenings/ Announcements:

Hello OLG Community and Happy Thursday to all of you!

With this short week, there are really two big pieces of news to make sure you are all aware of.

First, Re-enrollment is happening NOW and closes on the 26th. After that, we cannot guarantee your spots. We do have waitlists for many grades, so please get those re-enrollments in soon, as it helps us tremendously. If you applied for tuition assistance and are waiting to complete your contract until after you know what the award may be, we will hold your spot until after tuition assistance is released (March 15th). For families who did not apply for tuition assistance, note that a late fee will be applied to your accounts after the 26th for any registration that is not complete (same as last year).

Secondly, the Silent Auction is now LIVE and goes through the 28th. Click on the link below, register and check out all the awesome things on the silent auction. It’s open to everyone, even if you are not attending the in-person auction on the 1st. Check out all the great ticket opportunities, the buy-a-spot fun, bidding on pews for Christmas, concerts, graduation and more, some of the special teacher offerings, great trips-- you name it! This is open for everyone, and is a tremendous way to support the school! At OLG, each of you are All Stars! A special thank you to our many donors, and to our fabulous auction team who are working hard to make another year awesome! Need your volunteer hours?! Auction could use your help!

Lastly-- as a Catholic global community, please hold Pope Francis in your prayers, as he battles pneumonia in the hospital. Good news, according to the Vatican, he’s stable today.

Have a wonderful week! Happy online bidding to each of you!

With Gratitude,

Ms. Lauren Hobbs

Partners in the Gospel

We are now beginning the process of forming our Parish Family Advisory Council (PFAC).

A central part of Partners in the Gospel is the re-envisioning and restructuring of parish life and mission. This vision will come to life through the creation of a strategic pastoral plan called the One Parish Plan for the parish family and will set the course for how a parish family will become one canonical parish. The PFAC will play a key role in this process by providing consultation to the pastor for the development of the One Parish Plan. The PFAC will focus on the health of the entire parish family, looking beyond the needs of each individual community. The PFAC will help identify pastoral priorities and goals according to the parish family needs. This group will support the process and ensure the parish family engages as broad a consultation and discernment process as possible. Please prayerfully consider applying by filling out the application form and submitting to the parish office. Applications are due by March 1st. For more information visit the parish website at Parish Information | Our Lady of Guadalupe | Seattle, WA
