Dear Families,
Happy Holy Thursday to each of you. Today is going to be brief, as I am back and forth to the kitchen, stirring soup for this evening. Tonight we hope that you will join us for our annual Soup Supper from 5:30- 7 in the gym. Swing by when it works for your family! Holy Thursday Mass follows, beginning at 7 in the church with Mass, and the traditional washing of the feet.
Interested in learning more about Holy Week? Watch this reflection from Fr. Mike at Ascension Presents here about the ways in which we want to "Stay. Watch. Pray" so we don’t miss out on the moments with God.
Tomorrow, we are in Full Dress for Good Friday, and the 7th grade leading us in the Live Stations, reflecting on Jesus’ last moments. We hope that you can all join us at 11am in the church. Please remember that it is a noon dismissal for all. No extended care.
Good Friday is the most solemn day of our faith. As Christians and believers in Christ, we remember Good Friday as the day when Jesus dies. Where he gives his life for all of us. It is for this reason that we are at school, as Catholics, so that we can remember to keep the day Holy and focused on Christ. We hope that as families, you take time to reflect on this together, in your own quiet ways.
Have a restful Easter Vacation. We look forward to seeing you all back at school, healthy, well and joyfully rested on April 8th.
