Principal's Letter
Dear OLG Families,

Exciting times as we move headlong into Spring! Next week is Holy Week, then Easter and a welcome break. As the weather steadily gets better and we shed our bigger footwear and large coats, remember to check your student's attire that it still fits the active life of an OLG student (e.g. Flip-flops and Croc's don't work so well in recess and PE fun)! Also our lost and found is filling with coats and water bottles, so if you're missing one swing by the office! We'll do a spring cleaning over Spring Break.. so catch it now :)

Don't forget to read on for Spring Enrichments (starts right after Easter) and TONIGHT's Parent Night Out. Speaking of a night-off of cooking: tomorrow dine together at the OLG Fish Dinner, and next Thursday is our annual Soup Supper where our school staff serves you and all friends and parishioners as Lent comes to an end and we bring in our Rice Bowls for the Holy Thursday Mass! Blessing on you and your family this season of Lent and Ramadan!
Yours in Christ,

Anton Kramer

April 29th 4-6pm @ School Hall
Limited Spaces Available
As we celebrate reaching our Academic Excellence Initiative goal of $50,000 this week, let's now all turn our focus towards our Annual School Fund. The Annual School Fund drives support to our Tuition Assistance programs, as well as special projects and growing our endowment to continue to increase accessibility for all.

While our annual school auction was a great success, we still love YOUR HELP bridging the significant gap between the ever-increasing need for tuition assistance and the funds that are available. Share the news of OLG with family and friends.

Every dollar counts. Even a small gift can make a difference!
TOGETHER we can make OLG as accessible as possible to our community!

Thank you for your generosity!

Livestreaming Update
Thanks to the ACA donations, we replaced the original camera (which was dying ☹) with a new one and installed an additional camera to improve viewing of all our liturgies and hardwired the whole system. Our wonderful camera operators will need time to learn how to use the new equipment, so we appreciate your continued patience. It has been an invaluable ministry to many, but in particular our homebound and parishioners who are sick.  And none of this would be possible without your financial support—so thank you!!

THIS WEEK’S QUESTION: Can you define what it meant by “parish” and “parish family”?
A parish is defined as a certain community of the faithful stably constituted within the archdiocese, whose pastoral care is entrusted to a priest as its proper pastor under the authority of the Archbishop of Seattle. Note that the term parish refers to the community of people and not the sacred building designated for divine worship — the church (with a lowercase “c”).

A parish family is a group of two or more neighboring parishes under the leadership of a pastor and one or more parochial vicars. Over time, the parish family will determine its own consultative leadership team(s) and how they may share resources such as staff, campus buildings, ministries and outreach to become one new parish.
