Dear Families,

Today is Holy Thursday, a day (more, an evening) when we remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ betrayal. On Holy Thursday, Jesus gives us the Eucharist, and institutes the priesthood. As He washes the feet of his disciples, Jesus enforces the call for us all to be humble servant leaders, caring for one another, and not seeing ourselves as greater than another. We are all called to be the Hands and Feet of Christ, and Jesus shared that call with us on that very day, more than 2000 years ago. You can learn more about that here

Tonight, the staff and faculty invite you (with your bowls and spoons) to our Annual Soup Supper from 5:30- 7 in the gym, preceding the Holy Thursday Mass at 7pm. This meal is a wonderful opportunity to be in communion with one another. This is our staff service project, and it is completely free to all of you. Bring your families, a friend, a neighbor, your grandparents, a stranger! All are welcome. Please bring your Rice Bowls to support the great work of CRS and our call to give too those in need, during Lent.

Tomorrow from 11-12 please join us to commemorate and honor Jesus’ final hours with the Stations of the Cross, our most sacred day of our faith life, led by our 7th graders. Here, we move through the final moments, and also take a new twist on the traditional stations, focusing on social justice, as our students align to their call to be missionary disciples. FULL DRESS UNIFORM FOR ALL.

Tomorrow is a Noon Dismissal for all. No EDC or ELC aftercare. Thank you for keeping this day Holy and solemn, as we honor Jesus' sacrifice so that we might have life.

Prayers

Prayers continue for Fr. Phuong and Fr. Tim as our parish leaders, and for our shared parish family. And for Fr. Kevin and Fr. Jack.

For our community members whose family members who are fighting cancer and other ailments.

For all families, students, children and community members be joyful and full of hope!

For all the victims of the California wildfires, and for the students, faculty, staff and alumni at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Pacific Palisades who lost their school and parish, and have had to find new places to learn and grow.

For all who have recently lost loved ones, and for those who continue to feel the loss of loved ones long-passed. May God grant peace and healing to those who remain, and eternal rest in Heaven for those who have been sent home to the Lord. May perpetual light shine upon them.

Prayers for Pope Francis and his healing.

In gratitude for our OLG community and the love that you share.
