Principal's Letter

Dear Families,

Happy 1st Thursday of the 63rd school year at OLG! This year, we share in our school theme of “Grace and Gratitude”, united together in our call to be both the givers and receivers of God’s abundant and never-ending love, and the ability to thank God for the many things we have, and the countless blessings that are bestowed upon us each day. It was wonderful to see all of you last week at the Ice Cream Social and School Supply Drop Off, and then again on the first day of school at Mass. We are so fortunate to have our community, and all of the people in it.

This year, we welcome 29 new families, 55 new students in Preschool- 7th grade, and 5 new (or returning) staff members! Welcome to Ms. Reite (6th Gr/ MS Science), Ms. Adrie (ELC Director), Ms. Pam (returning as After School Tutoring and EDC), Mr. Wyatt (ELC Aftercare, Middle School Support and recess), and Mrs. Whitman (returning as Kindergarten/ 1st Grade Assistant)! We are so excited to have you join our OLG team!

Tonight is Curriculum Night, a mandatory night for all parents/ guardians in PK- 8th grade, to learn about the curriculum, what your children will be learning this year, and the many opportunities you have to be active and involved! We look forward to seeing you there, meeting in the gym at 6pm sharp! For your knowledge, there will be two rotations. A few families are households with three OLG PK-8 students. If that is you, and you are unable to bring two adults, your teachers will be waiting after to answer any questions you may have, after session two. For childcare purposes, know that we are projected to be completely done with the evening by 7:40.  See you tonight!

With Gratitude,

Ms. Lauren Hobbs

Prayers

For our parish leaders, Fr. Phuong and Fr. Tim and for all church leaders around the globe.

Let us #PrayForAnnunciation in Minneapolis and unite in prayerful solidarity for students, families, faculty, staff and all affected by the tragedy.

For our community members who are facing illness and health challenges, we pray for their recovery and for their care providers.

For all families, students, children and community members be joyful and full of hope!

For all who have recently lost loved ones, and for those who continue to feel the loss of loved ones long-passed. May God grant peace and healing to those who remain, and eternal rest in Heaven for those who have been sent home to the Lord. May perpetual light shine upon them.

Prayers for Pope Leo XIV.

In gratitude for our OLG community and the love that you share.
