The Infant of Prague has a rich history that begins in the 16th century in Spain where it was created. But in the 17th century, special devotion to the Divine Child originated with the Carmelites in the city of Prague, Bohemia which continues today. CLICK HERE to learn more.

PARTNERS IN THE GOSPEL UPDATE | |
As we begin the new year, we continue to build relationships within our West Seattle Catholic Community. During the next couple of months, Fr. Phuong, our Pastor will begin the process of forming the Parish Family Advisory Council (PFAC). This leadership group will be his go-to non-staff group to consult and will be the key consultative body for the creation of the One Parish Plan. The Archdiocese will provide trainings and resources to assist with this effort. More details to come. As always, we are interested in your thoughts on communications and initiatives that will help us in this effort. You can submit suggestions, comments, and questions about Partners by going to either Holy Rosary’s or OLG’s websites or filling out a comment card in church vestibules.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL 2024 ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM
Our Lady of Guadalupe/Holy Family's St. Vincent de Paul Ministry held another successful Christmas Adopt-A-Family program in 2024, thanks to the once again AMAZING generosity of our donors.
This year our Adopters purchased and wrapped over $10,000 in gifts and giftcards for a new record of 22 families, including 69 children! WHAT A BLESSING!
The photo below shows Anton and 2 of his 5 children who enjoyed posing with the van-full of gifts we delivered to them before Christmas morning. The joy!

WANT TO READ AND PRAY WITH THE GOSPEL OF LUKE? Dr. Sharon Henderson Callahan is facilitating a small group interested in sharing insight, faith, and community with the Gospel of Luke as our guide. We read sections of the Gospel this year during Mass, but many people have never read the whole text from beginning to end. We use the synodal method to engage each other and the text in deep listening and sharing. The group will meet Mondays starting January 27 from 10-11:30 am on the Holy Rosary campus. Members from both parishes are encouraged to participate, and it already has four people eager to welcome others. Space is limited. Contact Helen Oesterle, 206-935-0358, heleno@olgseattle.org
