CARE FOR CREATION MINISTRY

Our parish, in partnership with Holy Rosary, has an active group committed to Pope Francis’ call to care for our “common home” through prayer, advocacy, and education for not only our parishes but for the wider community. The pandemic has had a significant negative impact on efforts to address climate change, and its implications are even more serious and life-threatening now. But we can make a difference and we invite you to join us in our efforts. The group meets on the second Monday of each month by Zoom at 6:30 pm. New members are always welcome. Currently we are making plans to celebrate Earth Day in April. Contact

JUSTFAITH RACIAL JUSTICE SERIES: FAITH & RACIAL HEALING

OLG will be launching “Faith and Racial Healing: Embracing Truth, Justice, and Restoration” the week of April 11th. This small group program guides participants in telling the truth about the history of racism in the United States, that we might work toward true reconciliation with God and restoration with one another. Participants attend eight, 2-hour, weeknight Zoom sessions, an opening retreat, and an immersion experience as well as read two books. Cost is $20 plus the cost of the books (~$40 if all new). Register here by Sunday, March 28th

THE RENAMING OF THE DEMAZENON ROOM TO THE JUAN DIEGO ROOM
This past year, the Knights of Columbus have updated the meeting space in the church basement with new paint, new carpet and new lighting. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to revisit the name of that space, which in the past has been named the DeMazenod Room (which a previous pastor assigned many years ago). Since our Knights are members of the Juan Diego Council at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and our 8th graders have their Juan Diego Service Project, it seemed most appropriate to rename the space the Juan Diego Room (which is also much easier to spell!) We hope to have a special blessing of this renovated space once it is safe to do so.
OLG Community
REST IN PEACE Please keep Sr. Eileen Walsh, SP, and her family in your prayers. She recently passed away. Many of you will remember her in the “Loop the ‘Lupe” with her walker doing the Senior Saunter in a clown costume! Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

THANK YOU! Wilma Miller wanted everyone to know that she is so thankful for all the support, prayers and cards that she has received.

ALL CATHOLICS ARE INVITED Last March, the Archdiocese launched an online survey collecting nearly 8,000 responses from Catholics across the region. This Catholic survey was followed by listening sessions in October, centered on the preliminary elements of the mission statement, guiding principles, and a shared vision. These sessions informed the development of the Pastoral Plan Draft. We invite all Catholics to review and share feedback on the Pastoral Plan Draft HERE
