A Note from OLLI Advisory Board Chair Roger Spann
Many have wondered over the past two or three years what has happened to SVSU-OLLI. Did OLLI disappear with the pandemic? Did OLLI run off to another college campus? Did OLLI change its name and become something totally new? For awhile OLLI did slow down a bit, but I can assure you OLLI never left the Great Lakes Bay Region. As a matter of fact in the past several months OLLI has been showing up all over the region in many new and exciting ways along with keeping the very best of the best of the OLLI programming. The OLLI monthly meeting attendance has been growing with over 100 in attendance at the March meeting. Members are sharing very positive comments about our programming. Class offerings are rebounding with many more people joining for new educational experiences. Day trips are taking OLLI to new and exciting places for fun times. And have you noticed that our special interest groups are getting back into the active OLLI life again? Once again OLLI is heading on a multiday trip across the ocean for the first time in about three years. If you haven't already received the Spring/Summer 2022 catalog, watch your mailbox. It's on the way. You have until April 19 to look it over and select your OLLI adventures for the next few months. (Registration begins on April 19). Watch for new classes, exciting day adventures, and great monthly meeting topics. What has happened to OLLI? OLLI has grown, revised, improved, and just waiting for YOU to select what parts of the programming you will be enjoying during the upcoming spring and summer. Any questions? Call the office. They know the answers. Just wanna chat? Call me. I love to talk.
