Give Now to OLLI  and Beat the Tax Deadline!
OLLI is a big part of my life, it's a wonderful program, and I've always been happy to give." - Jackie Krag, OLLI President, 1998-99

All 122 OLLIs across the nation are asked to demonstrate continued sustainability through financial support from our members.

Your tax-deductible donations support OLLI in ways that our current program fees cannot cover:
*Help keep our fleet of shuttles up and running,
*Purchase headsets and other equipment we need to enrich your learning experiences,
*Defray costs of our co-sponsored programming, and
*Support the maintenance of our everyday equipment we depend upon to keep our program running smoothly.

"OLLI saved my life, and I'm so very happy to donate." - Jude Dubin, OLLI member

Our 2018-2019 fundraising goal is to raise $55,000 from at least 475 donors; the donations will be used to fund current expenses and to purchase new audio visual equipment for the Marty Theater,  the site of many of our larger classes and some of our special events.

We'd love for you to be a part of this year's fundraising campaign.  Help us maintain a donor rate of 40% and know that your donation makes an immediate impact on your OLLI experiences.  Every dollar makes a difference!  Give today with our safe, online form.

"I donate to OLLI because I love the programs - the staff is doing a great job, and we need to support it!" - Jim Miller, OLLI member

Lottery Deadline Approaching for  National Parks Trip

Thursday, January 10 is the deadline to enter the lottery for OLLI's Road Scholar trip to Glacier and Waterton Lake National Parks.

Because seats are limited, we will use a lottery drawing to randomly fill the eligible spots.  So send in your registration form (but no money) to enter your name in the drawing to determine the participant list.

Don't miss this opportunity to join OLLI as we discover historic national park lodges and magnificent displays of nature when we visit two jewels of the "Crown of the Continent" - Glacier National Park in Montana and Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta.  Travel dates are July 9 - 17, 2019.

Bradley Students Designing Space Suits for NASA

A group of Bradley students will be working with NASA on the second phase of the NASA S.U.I.T.S Design Challenge (Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students). This is part two of the program in which university student teams design and develop spacesuit interfaces and experiences using the Microsoft HoloLens mixed reality holographic computer.

Done as an extracurricular activity, this project involves Bradley students from engineering, computer science, public relations, interactive media, and other majors making it an interdisciplinary group not connected to any course.  When the team's work is completed, members will present their project to both NASA and Microsoft.

This is the fourth project that Bradley has participated in with NASA.

Congratulations to our Bradley students helping NASA improve space travel!

Chillicothe Public Library

In this last program of the "Year of Beer" series, the Chillicothe Public Library hosts Ellie Repp of Sharp Mountain Hops.  Repp will give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how hops, the classic bittering agents, are grown and processed.  You'll even have the chance to sample beer made with hops from Sharp Mountain, a family-owned hop yard in Maquon, Illinois, that provides craft breweries and home-brewers with local hops.

This program is for attendees ages 21 and older.  Please register by January 7.
