17 Days to Go ... 94 Donors Needed!

We have 17 days until the end of Bradley's fiscal year, and we are just 94 donors short of meeting our goal of a 40% donation rate!  With a membership of 1,193 people, we are counting on our members to help us cross the finish line.

If you haven't given to OLLI since last June, this is a perfect time to do so.

Our members who haven't been able to attend our seasonal kick-off luncheons  might not be aware how much we need your gift - however small - for our fundraising efforts.

This year's major purchase will be a new audio-visual system in the Marty Theatre, but each and every year donation dollars are used to improve your experience throughout our programs.

For instance, donations have been used to purchase audio-visual improvements in the rooms at Peoria Next that are frequently used for study groups and committee meetings, as well as the two shuttles for the trips you love.

Donations also recently allowed us to purchase new tires for both of those shuttles to ensure your comfort and safety.  It's important that you know that your gifts stay right here in our program to cover improvements our ordinary budget cannot cover.

Giving is easy, secure, and fast - you can do it right now by clicking here.  Thank you!

OLLI Student Volunteers of the Year Announced

In conjunction with Bradley University, the generosity of OLLI members, and the leadership of the OLLI Executive Committee, our lifelong learning community annual awards two $1,000 awards to Bradley students who exhibit exemplary volunteer service.

The 2019 award winners are:

Malini Wijesinghe (pictured second to left, next to OLLI President Jane Hense), a senior majoring in biochemistry, Spanish, and philosophy.  She has volunteered over 240 hours for Whittier Primary School, the BU Clean Up Crew, Volunteer Tutoring, the Tazewell County Resource Center, Neighborhood House, Special Olympics, and more.

Annie Carroll (pictured second to right, next to OLLI Past President Cornell Carr) is a senior secondary education major who has volunteered nearly 600 hours for area organizations, including Trewyn Grade School, Christ Lutheran Grade School, Cornstock for Kids, South Side Mission, Career Spark, and many more.

Thank you to all of our donors who made these awards possible.  Each and every dollar donated to OLLI makes a difference!

Help Us Decide!  Take a 25th Anniversary Survey!

Staff and volunteers are gearing up for OLLI's Silver Anniversary starting this Fall, and we need your input about a celebration idea.

Many of you have seen yard signs touting a child's extracurricular activity, a promotion for a library's reading program, and more.

We are considering offering full-color yard signs with our 25th logo that read "An OLLI Member Lives Here," so our members can show OLLI pride and spread the word about our program.

Please click here to take a 10-second survey and let us know what you think.  Thank you so much!
