OLLI Insider: Your Questions Answered

Dear OLLI Insider,

One of my friends said they entered OLLI's registration lottery for a trip to Chicago to see Hamilton.  Can I win a free trip to Hamilton?

Signed,
Hopeful Hamilton Fan

Dear Hopeful Hamilton Fan,

The good news is that OLLI does have a registration lottery for Hamilton, but it is not a lottery for a free ticket.

Instead, it's a lottery to help us equitably manage the high demand for our most popular programs - like the Hamilton performance or our upcoming multi-day trip to Glacier and Waterton Lakes National Parks.  While we are delighted that these trips are so popular, they each have more registrants than we can accommodate.

In these lotteries, we collect the registrations (but no money) from all interested participants, and then we randomly draw the number of registrations that are equal to our capacity.

Sincerely,
OLLI Insider
