Last week you may have received a message thanking you for attending the Pat Sullivan's Downtown tour by mistake. Please disregard the email unless you were on the trip.

Keep Learning - The Fun Way - at OLLI Classes
OLLI Spring Classes are the perfect opportunity to keep learning about topics you love, or to try learning about something completely new! The relaxed, social atmosphere make OLLI Classes a fun way to go "back to school."
Because "word of mouth" is OLLI's best advertising method, we'd love to see our current members bring friends to one week of classes to introduce them to our learning community.
Remember, "bring a friend" is free - just call the Continuing Education office to let us know who you are bringing. That way, we can have name tags ready, as well as a list of classes that have space for visitors.
For $95, you can choose four different classes that will each be held on the following Wednesdays:

The Fan's Guide to Sports Injuries
(class #13)
This course will focus on common sports injuries sustained across the lifespan. Pertinent anatomy, mechanism of injury, and treatment (surgical and non-surgical) will be discussed in easy to understand terms. The class instructor is Steve Tippett PT, PhD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Science at Bradley University with 34 years of practice as a Sports Clinical Specialist Consultant to the Bradley Sports Medicine Staff.

Register Soon for African-American Short Stories
Looking for a good reading experience along with thought-provoking discussions? This study group is offering a look at some of America's best writers that most OLLI members may not have had the opportunity to read in literature courses forty years ago.
African-American Short Stories

Please join six guest facilitators to read the short stories of Charles Chesnutt, Ramona Lowe, Ralph Ellison, Anne Scott, and others in "African-American Short Stories." Our guest discussion leaders will include Jane Hense, popular OLLI study group facilitator, Peoria Public Library Assistant Director Roberta Koscielski, Common Place's Director of Adults Program, Wayne Cannon, Illinois Central College Adjunct English Instructor Andrea Walton, Attorney Beverly Jones, and Judge Mary McDade.

Host of "Monster Fish" to Speak at Bradley
"Saving Imperiled Giant Freshwater Fish Around the World"
Presented by Zeb Hogan, host of National Geographic's "Monster Fish"

The Center for STEM Education at Bradley invites you to a FREE presentation by Zeb Hogan, host of National Geographic's "Monster Fish" television program. Hogan leads the National Geographic Society's Megafishes Project, a multi-year effort to document the 20-some species of freshwater fish at least 6.5 feet in length or 220 pounds in weight. Through the Megafishes Project, Hogan travels to the most endangered of these environments, striving to save critically endangered fish and the livelihood of people who share their habitats.

PAWAC Invites Trivia Night Participants
PAWAC Sixth Annual International Trivia Challenge Fundraiser
Sunday, April 2

Itoo Hall, 4909 Farmington Road, Peoria
The Peoria Area World Affairs Council (PAWAC) will hold its Sixth Annual International Trivia Challenge on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Itoo Hall.
Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and the competition will start promptly at 2:30 p.m. The trivia contest will also feature silent auction, raffle prizes, a cash bar, and free international hors d'oeuvres.
The cost is $20 per person, and players are welcome to form teams of eight. Students are just $10 with a valid student ID. Proceeds from this fundraising event support the international education programs sponsored by PAWAC. In particular, this event helps the World Affairs Council send a local team of high school students to compete in the national Academic World Quest (AWQ) competition in Washington, DC.
