OLLI Student Volunteer Award Donation Changes
Due to changes in Bradley's donation collection procedures, donations and registration fees will need to be paid separately from now on.
We have printed a reminder on the brochure registration page so that anyone wishing to make a donation can write a
separate check.
Since 1996, OLLI has provided funds for Bradley students who have shown exemplary volunteer service. Given that volunteerism is the foundation of OLLI, it is fitting that our members support students who are embarking on their own volunteer efforts. Your support is further evidence of the valued connection of OLLI to Bradley University.

No, Not in Our Town: Peoria's Opiate Crisis
Join this study group to take part in the important discussion surrounding the recent spike in opiate use in Peoria.
No, Not in Our Town: Peoria's Opiate Crisis
Tuesdays, January 24 - February 28
10:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Peoria NEXT Innovation Center, 801 N Main St, Peoria
Time is running out for OLLI members to learn about a serious health concern for Peoria's citizens: the misuse of opiate medicine. It can affect a population that seems unlikely at first; seniors like us or someone as close to you as a friend or relative whose illness or accident resulting in pain that was treated with these substances. While the medicine was needed during extreme pain, a disastrous health issue can develop if its use is continued after the issue is resolved.
In this study group, participants will interact with Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis, Human Service Center President and CEO, Mike Kennedy, a community member in addiction recovery, a local mother whose son died two years ago from opiate abuse, and representatives from Peoria's medical community, all of whom are actively involved in raising awareness of a health problem that is on the rise in our nation and community.
Registration will close on January 20.
$45 - facilitated by Carol May, retired Social Science Professor at Illinois Central College and OLLI Cinema Committee chair, and Roberta Koscielski, Assistant Director, Peoria Public Library and member of the Mayor's Community Coalition Against Heroin.
To register, please call Bonnie at 309-677-3900 or click here to utilize our online registration system.
