OLLI Summer 2024 Term

Term Dates: (M) June 10 – (Th) July 25

Summer 2024 OLLI Classes are scheduled to take place starting Monday, June 10th and continuing through Thursday, July 25th. OLLI at Sierra is closed on Fridays over the summer for in-person and online courses.

Summer 2024 registration will open mid-May; check our website's Home page for updates as well.

We are still accepting Spring 2024 Term course registrations. New classes start continually throughout the term. It's not too late to join in on the extra fun this Spring!

The second half of our Spring 2024 semester begins, Monday, March 25th! Classes/activities will be a mixture of in-person (at location), Online (Zoom) courses, and field trips.

OLLI at Sierra College is Closed for Spring Break!

Sierra College, including all campus locations, will be closed to the students and the public for the week of Spring Break. When Sierra College is closed, the OLLI program is also closed. *There will be no classes on the week of Spring Break. Please make note of our Spring Break closure dates below:

Discount for OLLI Students

OLLI students are invited to enjoy the Auburn Symphony performances, with a pre-concert talk, at the Placer High School Theater in Auburn, this upcoming weekend, Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th. The Auburn Symphony was kind enough to partner with OLLI at Sierra College to offer our students a 15% discount on tickets to one of their upcoming performances!

The promotional code is OLLI15 for the Saturday, March 9th evening performance and the Sunday, March 10th, matinee performance. This will give a 15% discount on all tickets.

Mobility challenged people can park in a designated lot at Olive & Finley Streets, and a shuttle service will deliver them to the side door of the theater. 

A "Know Before You Go" email is sent to all ticket-buyers with reminders. We have a restaurant partner program, and people can show their tickets on concert days to receive a 15% discount off their meal at 13 local restaurants.

Brown Bag Lecture Description: Retired U.S. Ambassador, Steve Browning, and OLLI Instructor, Terry McAteer, will present our Brown Bag on Friday, March 8th and discuss "Global Developments to Watch in 2024." It will be a wide-ranging discussion enhanced by Ambassador Browning’s extensive foreign policy experience. We are happy to have Browning back, who has taught for OLLI at Sierra in the past. You won't want to miss this discussion!

This is a FREE event! No registration is required. Limited to first 300 participants. We will email current OLLI Members a reminder email with Zoom link on the morning of this Brown Bag at 7am.

This Brown Bag Lecture Series will be recorded. The recording will be emailed to all current OLLI at Sierra College Members, once available after class. The recording will expire after 30 days.

OLLI Membership Name Badges

Wear to In-Person Classes, OLLI Events, and Field Trips!

We have started distributing OLLI Membership Name Badges to our current OLLI Members! We encourage you to wear your OLLI Membership Name Badge when attending In-Person OLLI classes, OLLI Events, and OLLI Field Trips.

To cut down on shipping costs, we are going to give these new membership name badges to OLLI Members that are attending in-person OLLI classes and field trips. OLLI Member Name Badges will be ready for pickup after Spring Break, beginning on March 25th. You may stop by the OLLI office to pick up your badge or the Admissions and Records office at the Grass Valley campus for Nevada County members.
