OLLI Instructor John Parker
John has Passed Away but Remains in Our Hearts
|
|
As many of you may have heard, John Parker's classes in Spring Term 2 were cancelled due to his failing heath. As a relative of John's, Terry McAteer broke the news to the OLLI office last week that John has passed away. We feel so fortunate to have had John become a part of the OLLI program at Sierra College. Revered as an intelligent and excellent OLLI student, John was then recruited to become an Instructor for us. OLLI classes that John was most known for include: Health of Democracy in the US,
A Preview of the 2022 Elections, All Things Politics with John and Terry, and The Deficit Myth.

Over two years ago, OLLI has arranged this conversation with Sheriff Moon and then the pandemic hit. Now we’ve added Zoom to our repertoire, so we get to hear Sheriff Moon discuss this important topic that applies to our entire region from the luxury of your home. OLLI Instructor Terry McAteer will moderate the discussion and your questions and comments will be welcomed. (FYI- Congressional candidate Scott Jones was unwilling to join our monthly political conversation).
