2020 Fall Catalog is in the Mail!
The Fall catalog has been printed. There has been tireless work involved in getting to this point, kudos all around! Staff and instructors quickly shifted 50+ courses into an online platform with Zoom due to COVID-19. The catalogs are on the way! A few items to note:
  • The printed catalog does not list a final course schedule
  • A calendar version with course dates and times will be available in the next 7 days, online.
  • This summer, the best way to reach staff is via OLLI's email address: olliuva@virginia.edu.
  • Drop a line and give us feedback on the new catalog, or for any other items that we may help with. We'd love to hear from you!

In Recognition of Kara West
Kara West stepped down as Executive Director on June 30 th and she has been graciously working with Leslie part-time in order to have a smooth transition in staff leadership. Over the past year in her role, Kara developed a wonderful relationship with staff creating a sense of a team. In the words of staff, Kara has shown a “calm, strong, clear, open and streamlined approach to communication.” For OLLI, she created themed e-newsletters, enhanced social media and adaptability, all of which will continue. Kara was able to streamline administrative processes for payroll and she pushed the program toward efficiency. She was also very effective as keeping the Board and the President aware of issues and ideas. Kara’s budgetary skills and fiscal oversight was extremely helpful as we have transitioned through some difficult times. Her commitment to OLLI has been exemplary and she will be missed. We wish Kara all the best in her future endeavors!
