Outside Recess - Be Prepared!

All grades go outside daily for recess for about 20-25 minutes. Please make sure you are checking the weather and sending your children to school with the appropriate attire. Indiana weather can change drastically from one day to the next and even from one hour to the next!   This includes sweatshirts, coats, hats, gloves, etc.

It is a good idea to label all items so they can be returned to you if they end up in the lost & found.

We only have inside recess if it is actively precipitating or it is 14 degrees or colder (windchill included).

Grades K-2 Costume Parade:

1:30pm Oct 31

Parents of children in grades K-2 should check the teacher’s newsletter for complete details about costumes, etc. The parade will be at 1:30pm, outside behind the school. Parents should park by the church or in the north parking lot and walk around to the back of school. The children will exit from the back side of the gym (door 3), parade past the parents and re-enter the school at the doors by the crosswalk (door 6).

Hope everyone had an fun and restful Fall Break!

OLMC Open House is coming up this Thursday, October 27th. This is a great opportunity to spread the word about how wonderful our school is! If you are interested in helping with tours that day, please contact Haley Church or Alli Koscal.

Veteran’s Day is right around the corner and this year we would love to take a moment to honor some of the Veterans in our own lives. If you have a family member or friend who served in the Military, we would LOVE for you to send in a small picture and brief description of their service. We will be placing these on a bulletin board in the Parish Hall during November as a way to show our gratitude for their service.

Fall Parties will be happening soon! Keep an eye out for sign-ups and volunteer opportunities from your Room Parents.

Join the Yearbook Committee:

The yearbook needs your help!!

We are looking for at least one representative per grade to help with this year's yearbook!

You will need to be at all the parties and activities your grade has during the school year! You will need to take as many photos as you can and upload them to our Homeroom App. You DO NOT need a professional camera - your phone camera works perfectly for this!!

You will also be involved in creating your grade's yearbook page!!

Help us create a lasting impression for our kiddos!

Art to Remember:

Keep your child’s art forever! Art to Remember is back and is a great way to help support the Art Program at OLMC while cherishing those precious creations!

Flyers will be sent home at the end of the month to order and items will be delivered in time for Christmas gifts!

School Lost and Found:

The school lost & found table is located in the Parish Hall/Cafeteria. Items like jewelry & electronics are kept in the office. Parents are welcome to come check lost & found during the day.

There is also a gym lost and found in the area outside the gym doors for items

left in the gym or locker rooms.

Items left on the Lost & Found table for 4 weeks get donated to the Merciful H.E.L.P. Center. We do check for names before we donate.

Band & Choir Parents!

Due Nov 2

Your child should have an order form.  If not, the links are below.

It’s time to order Band & Choir t-shirts if you need one.

We use them for performances, contests, and school

spirit  days. If you still have one from last year, that will work fine.  (The new Choir ones are almost identical to last year’s shirt. The cross on the t-shirt has been moved toward the shoulder.)

The cost for each t-shirt is $10.00, make all checks payable to OLMC or send exact cash.  The office is not able to make change.   Please complete the order form(s) in the link(s) below and return with your payment.

If the $10.00 is a financial concern, contact Mrs. Richardt.

All orders are due by Nov. 2nd.
