COVID-19 Updates:
What a blessing it is to be able to report that OLMC School remains at zero positive cases. With the recent rise in positive cases in Hamilton County, we have seen an increase in students that are doing virtual learning due to being identified as a close contact. Our teachers are doing a great job managing google classroom for these students. Our current plan is to continue in-person learning at this time. We will continue to monitor cases within our local school population to determine if the need for an alternative method of learning arises.

We would like to clarify a few points:
  • If we do have a positive case, we will work closely with the Hamilton County Health Department to identify anyone that would be considered a close contact. If a student is identified as a close contact, the parents will receive a phone call directly from a school administrator.
  • An asymptomatic person identified as a close contact must quarantine for 14 days from last date of exposure to the positive person. A negative test result does not shorten the 14 day quarantine period.
  • Students home due to quarantine are counted as "Present virtually due to COVID" each day, as long as he/she is logging on to Google Classroom and completing their work.
  • Navigating Google Classroom - Watch Video
  • Google Classroom Mobile App - Watch Video

  • Please let the office know by 9am when your child will be absent or late and the reason why.
  • Please provide specific symptoms if your child is ill. In order to properly determine when a child can return to school, we follow the guidelines established by the Indiana State Department of Health. A generic email of "under the weather" or "not well" will prompt a follow up phone call or email. The most recent Reference Guide can be found here:
  • COVID-19 School Attendance Quick Reference Guide

The continued health and safety of our school is dependent on the cooperation of all families. If in doubt, please keep your children home and call the school office. We are working closely with the Hamilton County Health Department to make decisions on a case by case basis.

Please take a few minutes to review the CDC's guidance on holiday gatherings and travel to help keep your family and the community safe and healthy...

The CDC is encouraging people to obtain flu shots this year. Click here for more information.

We have seen an increase in the number of children forgetting lunches. Please just take a few minutes each morning to make sure your child has their lunch when they leave the house and again when they get out of the car!

Thanksgiving Basket Donations Needed!
We have an urgent need for donations for the Thanksgiving Basket Program. This year marks our 45th year for the program. We are committed to provide food to over 500 underprivileged families in our area. Unfortunately we are way off pace for donations - only 20% of turkey tags were distributed over the last two weeks after masses, and online donation signups are very slow. We desperately need your help. Turkey tags will be available after mass next weekend on tables in the narthex. Please stop by and pick up a tag.

You can also sign up to DONATE FOOD via a new signup genius at
There is a link to Instacart where you can get $10 off any order of $35 or more for our program, and they will deliver your donation directly to the Merciful Help Center. How easy is that!!

To sign up to HELP with food packing and delivery day:

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Book Bill Payments:
The second half of the book bill payment is due on or before Nov 30.

Please check your records to determine the balance due for your family Book Bill Fees.
