Please join fellow OLP parents in saying the rosary in the Church space on October 12 and 26. We will pray the rosary promptly at 2:35 p.m. This will leave you plenty of time to pick up your child in the gym. If you have questions, contact Kristine Wheeler at 816.916.3119.  

Congratulations to the 3rd and 4th grade for their tremendous music performance this week. Thank you, Mrs. Feuerborn, for sharing your love of music with students.

LEADERSHIP TEAM PIZZA LUNCH: On Wednesday, October 18, OLP’s Leadership Team will be hosting their Annual Pizza Lunch. Students will be able to order one, two, or three slices of pizza for lunch. Lunch will include pizza, carrots with ranch dressing and a cookie. Additional slices are $1.50 and students may order up to three slices. Please talk with your child about how many slices they should be ordering. The cost for the pizza lunch will come directly from your student's lunch account so there is no need to send cash. The proceeds from the pizza lunch will help fund Leadership Team activities throughout the school year. We greatly appreciate your family’s participation! 

FALL PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:   Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, October 19; 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Use the link to find an available time to meet with your student(s) HOMEROOM teacher. Students 5th grade and above attend conferences with their parent(s).  Sign-up Link (Sign-ups will close 48 hours prior to each appointment time.)

Trunk or Treat shirts are being sent home this week with students who ordered them.

Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 20! Parking will take place from 5:30-6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer led by Fr. Tom, and then the festivities begin! If you pre-ordered items they will be sent home with students, please remember to bring your car tag, vouchers, and tickets with you the night of the event! Parking spots will be available to purchase the night of the event for $25. The grade level with the most parking spots reserved will be awarded an ice cream party and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 best-decorated cars!

The activity bracelet allows kids to walk the Haunted Trail and play games. Be sure to visit the food station for some tasty meats and treats! And don't forget to get your 50/50 raffle tickets. The drawing will be at 8:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing everyone there for this highly anticipated event!

HEALTH SCREENING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The school will be conducting health screenings Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7. Volunteers are needed to help with the height and weight station, vision screenings and hearing screenings. Time commitment is 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided for volunteers. Volunteers MUST be Virtus trained. If you are able to help, please email the health room, nurses@olpls.org. Thanks in advance!

PANTHER PARTNERS: OLP appreciates the support from our amazing community! Do you know a business or family who might want to donate to our school?  OLP accepts new sponsors throughout the school year.

On your sponsorship form you can make a general school donation or specify to donate specifically to one or more of our school year events or activities. Donations will be accepted the entire school year, but best to pledge early to take advantage of the entire school year marketing! Anonymous donations are also honored.

How do I sign up?  You can either fill out the online sponsorship form and email it back to pantherpartners@olplsschool.org OR print and mail it/turn into the school address.

If 80% of families sign up for the Turkey Trot, students will earn an extra day off at Spring Break (Wednesday, March 27)!

Register to participate in-person or virtually. Both ways count toward the incentive day! If registered by October 25, a Turkey Trot t-shirt is guaranteed!

Event proceeds benefit the OLP Library, Lee's Summit Social Services and Operation Breakthrough.

Registration is now open for the 2023-24 Archery season! Students 4th grade and older are eligible to participate.
