OM Covenants Corner
Greetings, Oakland Mills residents, and welcome to the Covenants Corner!
Here are this week's Covenants Corner tips:
  • Vehicle Parking: Is there a disabled/untagged car parked on your street? Unfortunately, we are unable to address street parking concerns. However, if it is clearly disabled (has a flat tire) or the tags are missing or expired you can contact the police non-emergency number at 410-313-2200. There is no limit on how long a properly tagged non-commercial vehicle may park on the street.
  • Gardens and Landscaping: Are you getting ready to plant your garden and landscape your lawn for spring? Do you know if you need to a apply for your new bird bath (yes you do!) or for your vegetable garden (maybe)? Take a minute to review the Architectural Guidelines (section 17 for gardens, 24 for landscaping). Still have questions? Contact Carrie Wenholz at
  • Selling your home: Are you looking to sell your house this spring or summer? Obtaining a Letter of Compliance from the village office should be one of your first steps. Letters of Compliance can be requested by a seller or the sellers' real estate agent. More information can be found here.
If you have a specific question about any of these or other topics, email us at Your question may be highlighted in a future issue of the e-news!
