Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Beds for Children in Need
Collection Bin located in the lobby of The Other Barn. Needed: new twin-sized bedding sets, sheet sets, and comforters.
 
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a charity that builds beds for kids who don't have their own. If your child or a child you know is sleeping on the floor, a sofa, an air mattress, or with other siblings or parents, you can request a bed by visiting www.shpbeds.org/request-bed or emailing [email protected]. SHP delivers the bunks/single beds along with new mattresses, pillows, sheets, and comforters.
A-OK Mentoring: Volunteers Needed!
A-OK volunteers serve as mentors and tutors  for preschool and elementary school children and middle school youth  in Howard County schools and in community programs. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and be able to work during weekday daytime hours.

Oakland Mills Gives Back!  The Oakland Mills Board finalized a review of donation requests submitted as per OMCA's donation policy and have awarded donations to the following organization (names are listed in no particular order):  Oakland Mills HS Fine Arts Boosters; Oakland Mills HS Labyrinth Project; Oakland Mills Middle School PTSA; Stevens Forest Elementary School PTA; Talbott Springs Elementary School PTA; Talbott Springs Elementary School Blessings in a Backpack; FISH of Howard County; Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Howard County; and The Village in Howard.
