Collection Bin located in the lobby of The Other Barn. Needed: new twin-sized bedding sets, sheet sets, and comforters.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a charity that builds beds for kids who don't have their own. If your child or a child you know is sleeping on the floor, a sofa, an air mattress, or with other siblings or parents, you can request a bed by visiting www.shpbeds.org/request-bed or emailing [email protected]. SHP delivers the bunks/single beds along with new mattresses, pillows, sheets, and comforters.

A-OK Mentoring: Volunteers Needed!
|
A-OK volunteers serve as mentors and tutors
for preschool and elementary school children and middle school youth
in Howard County schools and in community programs. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and be able to work during weekday daytime hours.

Talbott Springs Elementary School is in need of monetary donations to support an increase (double!) of students receiving Blessings in a Backpack for the 2019-2020 school year. The cost to feed one child over the entire the school year is $130. Visit

Now is the time to consider running for office in Oakland Mills and making a direct impact in
OM, your hOMe, and our cOMmunity!
Nomination Packets are available NOW at the Other Barn. Nomination petitions must be returned by candidates by Friday, March 13th.
An information session for those interested in running for an OM Board Seat will be held at the Other Bran on Monday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m.
Complete details will be sent in an email in the next two weeks. Please be on the lookout for the email. Now is a great time to attend upcoming OM board meetings and/or Columbia Association board meetings to get a first hand look at what goes on!
