Neighbor Ride
Giving Thanks by Giving Back
You can make a difference in the lives of local seniors by volunteering to provide rides for medical appointments, social outings, shopping and other needs. NO SET SCHEDULE is required. Simply provide a couple of rides a month that are convenient to your home, office and daily routines.
 
Parents are welcome to bring their children along when volunteering, making this a wonderful family service opportunity. Join Neighbor Ride (5570 Sterrett Place, #102 - Columbia 21044) on Tuesday, November 27th at 6pm or any Tuesday at 9:30am for volunteer orientation. You can also ask about scheduling an offsite orientation for your group of 5 or more.  
 
ATTENTION NEIGHORRIDE PASSENGERS - GET OUT TO VOTE!  Neighborride will be avilailable to take you to the polls on elections day to VOTE!

Exploring Columbia on Foot
Columbia Association's (CA) series of outdoor walks explores the lakes, streams, woodlands and wildlife of Columbia. Each walk is about two miles long, with four to five stops along the way. Registration is not required.

The walks are led by award-winning environmental author Ned Tillman, who guides discussions on the nature, history and future of these wonderful outdoor settings, including the plans for them and challenges they may face in the near future. 
 
All walks begin at 10 a.m. The schedule includes:

Columbia Association's (CA) Board of Directors will hold several upcoming work sessions and meetings at 7pm - half an hour earlier than usual - due to the anticipated amount of time needed to cover agenda items.
The list of CA Board work sessions and meetings that will convene at 7pm are:
  • Thursday, October 25 - CA Board meeting
  • Thursday, November 8 - CA Board work session and CA Board meeting
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, CA's Board of Directors will also hold a meeting on Thursday, November 8 after the preceding work session concludes. The anticipated start time for the meeting is 9:30pm.
