Oakland Mills Middle School (OMMS)

Congratulations to chorus/musical director, Mr. Joshua Konick, who is OMMS's Teacher of the Year nominee for HCPSS!

Help the OMMS staff help those in need in Howard County!
For over a decade, OMMS staff members have worked with Rebuilding Together of Howard County to repair and renovate homes. They work with clients who are elderly, ill, handicapped, or financially-strapped to make the homes more livable and safer. PTSA Meeting: Helping Children who have Anxiety
January 7th, 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
The PTSA will host Dr. Krystal M. Lewis, a clinical psychologist who will discuss ways to identify anxiety in children and implement preventative steps to help them thrive in school and at home. Parents of rising 6th graders are invited to join from 6 to 7 p.m, as well as other parents in the Oakland Mills community.

HC Drug Free is looking for parent/adult volunteers. Please email   Admin@hcdrugfree.org to volunteer. Include your availability and specify whether you can type, are willing to drive to pharmacies or liquor stores, and/or have any special skills or interests. 

Blessings in a Backpack 
Please support Talbott Springs in this Community Outreach program. One hundred percent of the money raised goes to purchase food. To support Blessings in a Backpack, visit  blessingsinabackpack.org and select Talbott Springs. All donations are tax deductible. We thank you for your support for our students in need.  

A-OK Mentoring 
Make a difference! Help enhance the academic and social development of identified Howard County elementary school students in schools near you through a consistent, supportive relationship with a child.  Volunteers must be available weekday, daytime hours to meet one-on-one with an assigned student during the school day or with students in small groups in afterschool programs.
