Calling All Mayors, Vice Mayors and Councilmembers
Please Join Us for the Annual Congress of Mayors Event
Each year OML, along with the Mayors Council of Oklahoma (MCO), hosts the Congress of Mayors event. It is a day-long opportunity for Mayors, Vice Mayors and city council members to come together, along with OML staff, to debate issues facing municipalities and draft legislation to address those issues. “This event gives our elected officials hands-on experience by going through the legislative process of drafting bills and debating them. They will actually be working on relevant issues that will be facing our cities and towns over the next year. Once the bills have passed this group, they will be delivered to state legislators as ones needing to be considered during the upcoming session. We want to encourage all of our Mayors, Vice Mayors and city council members to participate in this important and interesting exercise,” said Mike Fina, OML Executive Director.
