The next round of OML Regional Council meetings have been scheduled and we are excited to invite you to join us! Our Regional Councils serve as an Advisory Board to the OML Board of Directors, and play an important role in our Legislative Efforts. The Regional Councils allow OML to have more representation from all of our cities and towns across the State, and give our members an opportunity to be more involved.

These meetings will give you an opportunity to share what is happening in your municipality and talk to others in your area to share thoughts and ideas. We will give an update on Interim Studies happening at the Legislature and talk about our Legislative Priorities before we invite your local legislators to join us for lunch. It's time to submit your nominations for the 2026 OML Annual Conference Awards. The deadline for 2026 awards is August 4th.



Awards include the Mayor of the Year Award, the Woman of the Year WiMG Award, The Don Rider Award, The Jeff Shockley Award, Innovations Award and our newest award, the Tribal Award.

The NOI teaches the statutorily required topics such as Municipal Budget Requirements, the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act, the Oklahoma Open Records Act, Ethics, Procedures for Conducting Meetings, Conflicts of Interest, and Purchasing Procedures.

Remember, you don't have to be a new official to attend. Returning elected officials and municipal employees are welcome!

The NOI offers 7 hours of General Education Credit and .5 hours ethics through the CLE program.

This NOI is designed with council‑manager and charter governments in mind.
